African Ingenuity

Some people seem to think that not much inventiveness comes out of Africa and that they are laging behind the modern world.

Well, I beg to differ:

Budget Walkman

This walkman system is not only inexpensive, but can be used as both a personal stereo and an entertainment system at larger gatherings. Due to its portable battery system it is usable for almost any festive occasion.

Low Cost Hot Water System

This hot water system is not only energy efficient as just the required amount of water is heated. It is conveniently portable, and in the case of a failure a new system can be installed within minutes without the need of a costly service technician.

Vehicle Recycling Scheme

The Toyota Cowrrola
Old heavily polluting vehicles are recycled into state of the art bio-fueled vehicles.

Multi-use Vehicles

The African Bakkie
This new 'transformer' style MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) serves as a people mover and a hard working utility vehicle. This highly versatile vehicle can be be reconfigured in many other modes. In Recreation/Labour Mode the rear payload area can be detached thus leaving the front part for sight seeing and shopping, whilst the rear payload serves as a hand operated moving device.

Time Saving Initiatives

The inventive attitude of several employees at a popular swiming pool installation company has reduced the time it takes to install a swimming pool by several days by innovating their "how-to-paint-oneself-out-of-a-corner" technique. Where previously a system of scaffolding was required, now it is now easily achieved without any mechanical contrivance. Consequentially this has also resulted in a saving for the company in unexpected ways, as many employees are no longer taking up their gym memberships as they feel that they get a sufficient workout during working hours.
